The main objective of national plans is to plan the appropriate infrastructure and character of the settlement, taking into account the needs of the functioning and spatial development of the state as a whole. The preparation of national plans is organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, except for special plans in the field of national defense and security (by decision of the Government of the Republic).
Types of plans
- National Plan – a strategic document guiding the spatial development of the state
- County Plan – defining the principles and trends of spatial development of a county, part of it or other region. The plan is prepared primarily to express the overall interests of local governments, the aim is to balance the needs of national and local spatial development.
- National Designated Spacial Plan – is prepared for the construction of a building with a significant spatial impact, the choice of location or operation of which is of great national or international interest.
